On June 29, 2022, the Inauguration and Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected officials of the Municipality of Taraka was held at the Municipal Gymnasium, Taraka Lanao del Sur.

It was administered by no less than the Assistant Regional Prosecutor, Fiscal Abdul Jabbar Botawan. The event was graced by special guests Hon. Ansari U. Gandamra (Board Member, 1st District) Hon. Atty. Majul Gandamra (Marawi City Mayor), Camid C. Gandamra (Marawi City Administrator), Engr. Titingalangit Sumagayan (Former DPWH Secretary), Dr. Aminah Usodan (Former Dean CSSH, MSU), Mcmillan Lucman (MILG Provincial Director), LTC DON VILLANUEVA (CO 55 IB) 1LT Mark Joseph P. Rante (Commanding Officer, 55thn IB 1ID, PA), Judge Rakima Macaraya(7th MCTC Presiding Judge), various line agency representatives assigned in the locality, Department Heads, members of the TWG, general employees and staff of the LGU, 43 BLGUs and family and friends of the newly elected officials.

Hon. Atty. Amenodin Sumagayan, former graduated Municipal Mayor of Taraka, former Assemblyman of 1st District Lanao del Sur and former Vice Mayor of Taraka took his oath of office as the Mayor-elect of the locality. His better half, Hon. Nashiba Gandamra-Sumagayan former graduated Municipal Mayor of Taraka took her oath of office as Municipal Vice Mayor of the locality. On the other hand, the following are the municipal councilors elect: Hon. Mohammad Aquil Gandamra Sumagayan, Hon. Abdul Hakim Gunting Mangata, Hon. Khalid Pangandamun Sumagayan, Hon. Diamar Sarigidan Pandapatan, Hon. Mohammad Naseef Macadadaya Sumpingan, Hon. Jamael Guro Sumagayan, Hon. Salic Caica Colangcag and Hon. Sambitory Baute Paunte.

The newly elected officials intend to continue its legacy in good governance and to strive more for the betterment and development of the locality and its people.
