In the light of increasing challenges to reduce poverty and inequality in the country, Mayor Nashiba U. Gandamra-Sumagayan and Vice Mayor Atty. Amenodin U. Sumagayan set out to introduce innovative agricultural schemes and sustainable livelihood programs to the municipality of Taraka in partnership with the Mindanao Development Authority headed by its chairman, Sec. Emmanuel F. Piñol.
Sec. Manny Piñol, being known for his staunch advocacies to advance the agricultural sector, showed his genuine support by taking his technical team to the municipality for the conduct of “MinDA WATER SUPPLY & LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMS ORIENTATION” on January 14, 2020.
Among the highlights of the event were the CEREMONIAL PLANTING OF SORGHUM and the demonstrations made by the MinDA technical team about livelihood programs which include Poultry and Egg Production, Cattle Fattening, Goat Raising and many other more.
Through this, Mayor Sumagayan hopes that “this will serve as a cornerstone for the realization of her programs and implementations intended to promote shared prosperity among her people”.
