Today, October 03, 2019, was made very special for the ‘Granmas’ and ‘Grandpas’ in the locality as the LGU celebrated the Elderly Filipino Week for the senior citizens. This is in line with the Proclamation No. 470 by former President Fidel Ramos which promotes the wellbeing of the elderly through celebrating the said event on the first week of October.

In partnership with RHU-Taraka spearheaded by Dr. Bolawan M. Delawi, free medical services were offered to the participants.

In addition, Mayor Nashiba G. Sumagayan together with Vice Mayor Atty. Amenodin U. Sumagayan, made sure that their beloved elderlies will not be going home empty handed. Thus, all participants were presented with giveaways specially prepared by them and the LGU personnel to show their appreciation to all of them.
