Promoting a safe and clean environment for her constituents has never left the list of Mayor Nashiba Sumagayan’s priority programs. As a result, she and Vice Mayor Atty. Amenodin U. Sumagayan organized OPLAN LINIS in the locality themed “Tapat ko, Linis ko” on August 27, 2019.
Together with all the LGU Employees and Staff, Municipal Councilors, Department Heads and other LGU Officials, they began sweeping and gathering all accumulated scads of garbage along the Taraka River and all the way from the gates of the Municipal Hall to the National Highway in Barangay Boriongan. Personnel from DepEd and RHU also participated in the operation.
This was initiated with an aim of encouraging the constituency of Taraka to be responsible of their own garbage and properly segregate them according to their kind.
