Last February 1, Muslims and non-Muslims, ARMM Agencies and Private Sectors alike gathered in ORG Quadrangle, Cotabato City to celebrate World Hajib Day 2014 – an awareness day that seeks to educate people about the hajib and encourage non-Muslims to try it on for themselves. Hijab is simply the Muslim veil or headscarf, and hijabi is the Muslim woman who wears it.

With the theme “Better Awareness, Greater Understanding, Peaceful World,” the World Hijab Day’s goal is to foster global religious tolerance towards Islam through hijab awareness, as well as to empower, enlighten and break down barriers.
