“Municipality of Taraka brings home major Awards from the PAGKILALA Awarding Ceremony for BARMM LGUs in Cotabato”
The Local Government Unit of Taraka opened up this year, 2022, with a gleeful beat after bringing home three major awards from the recently concluded “PAGKILALA Awarding Ceremony for BARMM LGUs” at Cotabato City last January 19, 2022.
These Awards of Distinction were from BARMM’s 2020 LGU Grant Assistance for Innovative Practice (LGAIP) wherein the LGU’s two winning entries, the; “3M Drive: Makinig, Matuto, Magbayad (An Intensive Tax Campaigning Program) and Maternal and Child Health Care made it to the list of the Region’s Top 10 Best Practices.
Subsequently, In 2021, Taraka became one of the only two Municipalities that won the 2021 LGAIP with their entry, the “Summer Reading Program”. In addition, Taraka was also one of the LOGFA Awardees.
Mayor Nashiba U. Gandamra-Sumagayan, being the mind behind these exertions proudly took her team to SKCC Cotabato to receive the Plaques for each of the awards where they have likewise set up a booth to exhibit their three winning programs.
Meanwhile, the LGU, under the administration of its remarkable leaders, begins to reflect its merit to its component BLGUs as the Brgy. of Moriatao Lucsadato also bagged major awards from the same awarding ceremony. Its Barangay Chairman, Hon. Casanodin Camid received plaques for being one of the LTIA, SMB (Search for Model Baranagay) and SGLGB Awardee. Congratulations.
