Following the release of Memorandum Circular No. 2019-121 issued by the Department of Interior and Local Governance which is in conformity with the directive from President Rodrigo Duterte ordering all National and Local Officials to implement Road Clearing Operations, Mayor Nashiba G. Sumagayan released notices to all barangay chairmen and other LGU Officials to prepare for the implementation of the said operation in the locality.
She also detailed all PNP Personnel to assist in the Road Clearing Operations. After the dissemination of the notices regarding the operations, PNP Personnel together with other concerned LGU officials went on foot to start the Road Clearing Operations on August 08, 2019. While they were at it, they informed the constituents of the directive from the president that led to the operations and assisted them in demolishing areas of their properties that were affected by the required measurement for the RCO.
Other illegal structures and road obstructions were also removed by the LGU representatives and PNP Personnel. At present, the operation is still in progress.
