The LGU representatives together with the PNP had taken their operations in the locality of Taraka on August 7, 2019 to close down business establishments (big and small) without business permits.
This was decided after the LGU’s efforts to warn them by providing series of notices to request them to register their businesses. Days before the given date of operation, the LGU even invited some of the representatives from BIR and DTI to assist the business owners in their application for Business Permits. However, some still opt to disregard the warnings and not declare their businesses. Hence, the operation was executed in the locality.
The LGU aims to impose the Law in the Locality in hopes of properly regulating big and small business enterprises. Those that were closed down will accordingly be allowed to reopen once they have settled their applications for Business Permits.
In this operation, forms and list of other requirements were also given to the business owners so that they may accomplish them at their earliest convenience and have their businesses operating again.
