In celebration of the National Oral Health Month, Today March 12, 2019, The Department of Health together with IPHO-Lanao del Sur and by the courtesy of Mayor Nashiba U. Gandamra-Sumagayan, conducted a Dental Health Mission with the theme, “Ngipin na Malusog at ProtektaDOH, Masaya at Maningning na Ngiti ang Hatid sa Mundo”, for preschool children in the Municipality of Taraka.
During this program, Dentists from the DOH ARMM gave short lectures about Good Oral Care, Oral infections and other Dental-related problems to raise awareness about the importance of oral health among the school populace. These included preventive measures that can protect teeth and other good oral hygiene practices.
Assisted by the personnel from DOH, the honorable Mayor herself took the lead in the distribution of the Dental supplies to the children after the teaching session.
